The Pump Track in Ponderay, ID has been rebuilt within its original footprint. It is now suitable for riders of all ages. Location is 55 McNearney Road in Ponderay ID.
Construction on the new “Basin Multi-Direction” has begun. This will be finished early Summer of 2022. It will be fun to ride down, but the intended use is a climbing trail.
Schweitzer Bike Park received a new Blue-rated flow trail that will be open for the ’22 season. It takes riders from Bear Grass down into the Basin Express zone. This new zone will be built out over the next few years with plans to run the Basin chairlift as part of the Bike Park.
With a huge investment by Vélo Tout-Terrain (VTT) LLC over 100 acres of private land have been purchased to be developed into a mountain bike playground. The property will be open to the public at no cost. The construction will take place over the next few years; however, the two arterial trails have been completed. Rotarian (sponsored by the Sandpoint Rotary Club) is a perimeter trail that loops around the lower part of the property, and Green Heart connects riders to the upper part of the property.
